About me
I come from a small town in the southeast of France called Fréjus, located on the Mediterranean coast near the city of Cannes.
I grew up there and left after high school to attend university in Paris. After graduating, I found a job in the Paris area and stayed there for a little over twenty years. I worked for a large French company.
Later, my family and I decided to move to Japan.
I changed careers and became a French teacher. I am certified by the Alliance Française de Paris for teaching French to foreigners (DAEFLE). I give my French lessons mainly online, but I also have a contract with a language school not far from my home.
My students live all over the world, and most of them are expatriates like me.
I really enjoy teaching French in this context because we often exchange our views on our countries’ cultures, and sometimes on the culture of our host country.
They all have different goals: learning for professional purposes, traveling or settling in a French-speaking country, studying, passing an exam, or simply for fun. As a result, every lesson is different and tailored to each person’s needs, goals, difficulties, and desires.
French is a demanding and difficult language, so I try to make my lessons as pleasant as possible. It’s important to feel comfortable with your teacher – and vice versa!
